I dunno if this is applies here, but I've noticed that when I take my time on certain projects, they end up lacking something that everyone enjoys. Likewise, if I have a deadline to meet and I have to rush through it, I make some of my best praised work. (Aladdin 3150 took more time than most, but I still had to rush through it in full panic mode cuz I knew I would barely miss the deadline)

I feel that MindChamber came across this also when he made "With My Mind's Madness". He said he spent a week on it, and that thing was epic in my eyes.

So there is something to learn from this (though I'm still pondering on what that might be), but it doesn't mean that you should completely give up on things that you want to take your time on. Even if they don't get as much praise, people who have just viewed your work can look back at all your other stuff and say "Wow, this one was good, I dunno why this wasn't more popular" and "This guy sure can show variety in his work", making that flash a sort of 'lost gem'. And, personally, I much more enjoy reading reviews over those flashes, because it separates my viewers from may fans.

The important thing is to never NOT tell a story, cuz you are a storyteller and telling stories is what you do; You'll be surprised who might like it.

-Flecko-

It's worth it, Psycosis.

I was going to write a huge comment here, but when I read Flecko's comment, I realized there was nothing more to be said. He pretty much nailed it.

Well I liked two slices of pie...

I think they're great. BTW I rated Two Slices of Pie a 5 when it first came out.

"To me, sprite movies are just as artistic as drawn movies here. "

Pfffffffhahahahahahahaha

Funniest thing I've ever read on Newgrounds

no.

The fact, is people like funny stuff more, then a hole storyline
in my point of view :/

I don't mind video game parodies and sprite movies as long as they are inventive and fun to watch. However, that doesn't mean that original, hand-drawn ones aren't good (What can I say, I'm a pretty open guy). I vote on a movie based on actual quality, not on how the creator made it.

quit being an emo, i love your movies, and thats reason enough to keep making them. youre an inspiration sir!

I can't completelly agree with pontyfaxjr but he got a little point, but I will say:

"quit being an emo, YOU love your movies?, THEN thats reason enough to keep making them. BESIDES youre an inspiration sir!"

Youre kinda right that the 1-UP pursuit and the all 1-UP thing is overrated but yet is a good random funny thing that people can laugh without centring to much, but theres this little thing that make me lol more: Remembering that THAT Mario was "Psycosis style" Mario, one that make my ROFL at Thwomps: The movie. So you make little details that make people find it interesting.

Youre complaining cos not many people talk about "Two Slices of Pie"? (which is awesome like is spiritual-prequel) but thats ART man. In art only few people can see the good in something that you put your effort, others are in here only searching for lol (in my case i do both) but dont complain for that something that you do did have enough praise compared to other "more silly" thing you do, there's always some people that will know how much you put in make something and find it worth it

sorry if you dont understand very well my point i can't write english properly and im better to talk things :P

BTW: according to me the most important of doing something is that you want to do it and enjoy it doing it... do you?

SUCK MY DICK YOU GAY ASSHOLE

THERE IS a lot of debate in newgrounds about this overrated made in 2 days movies.

If people like what you make, regardless of how much time and effort are put into it, why worry?
People are going to enjoy your work regardless because it entertains them, and that's all that really matters, right?

It doesn't mean you shouldn't work hard and put in a lot of time on your flash. It just means you have talent and the ability to entertain easily.

I don't know what else to say. Just keep up the great work.

Mostly I think if you try to make something really epic and spend lots of time on, you are usually disappointed by the score. Compared to something you make in a few days just for fun. So, I guess you shouldn't try to expect something that is worked on hard is necessarily liked the most. Just look at your movies as something you do for fun and that some just happen to take longer to make.

Yes, I know what you mean. That has happened to me too...

Also, fuck the people that say your movies suck for any reason.
As long you make them because you like it, it's great.

"seriusly... the interent is like.. the worse audience ever :("

Yes, it is :(

It doesn't matter how much effort you may or may not put into a Flash, so long as people find it entertaining. Ignore the fact that 1-up Pursuit was made in two days. The response was awesome, and a lot of people liked it a whole lot. Knowing that alone should make you happy.

TWHOMPS TWHOMPS TWHOMPS!!! MAKE A 2ND MOVIE!!! THAT WOULD BE SO SUPER!!! But don't make it in two days. lol

cool man. I lo

the 1-up persuit is stupid cuz mario dies a horrible way .
characters that are dieing with an gigantic thorn reminds me of stick movies where people only want a lot of fight and dieing .
but violence isnt well fights are k but dieing

ps. do you kile salmon k and slice of pie are the best with only a few movement sprites you can make something awsome

srry about my crappy english
