Why put sprite & drawn in two diffrent categories?
There are good sprite movies & there are bad one's.

Even if they did make the sprites, or the characters used are un-common it doesn't make the movie good

I really don't think sprites are made for close ups. Or emotion. You did it well in Thwomps: The movie (was that preloader customed?), but I've seen some that really don't work. They are made for video games, so they should probably be used the way they are supposed to look, with just one view the whole time.
You're right about the characters. My favorite sprite movie is Not Another Sprite Fight, because it uses a bunch of different characters. I close it when it gets to the sonic vs mario part.

You forgot rotation:
"Sprite animators" tend to spend ages finding the sprites they want so they can get this retro low-res look, then they go and rotate the thing around, totally ruining any sense of pixelation. It's fucking stupid when you rotate a sprite around.

Infact- Making a movie by compiling a bunch of animations you didn't make, then ruining them with stupid tweens, is pretty fucking stupid in itself. Screw sprites, they're dumb.

The Clashing Styles one is probably the one that pisses me off the most...it just looks terrible

Also, looking back at my sprite movies, I've done a ton of lazy shit lol...like the lip sync one haha

I agree with everything exept the "Don't Use Mario" section. Some people like sprite movies that have Mario(or any other popular) charecter in it and avoid other movies. Im not one of those people but I know a few people like that. Everything else though I totally agree with.

You get no argument from me; everything you said is completely true. But some of us really don't have time to animate that often and these little tricks take up lots of valuable time and practice to master; and it only gets worse when you have desperate fans waiting on your next release. :(

Yeah not often.. It may be true that most sprite flashes are Mario, and they are ussally not amazing or even get above the score of 3.0 but I'd like everyone to keep working on mario flash still, something amazing might come up for us all to enjoy :P I mean, who doesnt love mario? xD

I'm sure to keep all this other info in mind when I come up with flashes soon =O I've been working with flash for a while but never thought to submit my first work and other poor quality stuff here lol.

What people hate is premade sprites. It's about making your own art more than anything, and people despise a quick google search for some sprites of Mario or something.

Sprites are limited, you can't do as much as you can by hand drawing, but that doesn't matter, you can still do unique stuff with sprites. But sprites you make yourself.
